Problem
Following the relocation of a major cement supplier’s facility, the client required a dependable blending and bulk handling solution that could accommodate the new site layout while maintaining strict product quality standards. The system needed to accurately pre-blend materials for the bagging line and provide the flexibility to transfer blended product into storage silos or directly into road tankers. Achieving consistent mix ratios, reliable throughput and seamless integration with the site’s operations was critical.
ModQuip Solution
Working in collaboration with Inquip, ModQuip supplied the Pivot Weigh Screw as the core component of the engineered blending system. Designed for high-accuracy gravimetric feeding, the Pivot Weigh Screws enabled precise metering of material from four separate silos, ensuring recipe-controlled blending before delivery to the bagging plant.
The same technology was also incorporated into the Silo Blender and Tanker Out Loading Station, where Pivot Weigh Screws accurately blended materials for transfer into storage silos or directly into bulk tankers via loading bellows. Their robust design and dependable weighing performance provided the precision and flexibility required for continuous cement production.
Outcome
By integrating the Pivot Weigh Screw technology into the relocated facility, the client achieved highly accurate recipe-controlled blending and efficient bulk loading operations.
